Hi! Its time to welcome in the fall, and my favorite time of year! I love it when the summer heat breaks just a little and people seem to get just a little more tolerant as temperatures subside for the cooler part of the year. It’s also a great time to do a cleanse or detox! In oriental medicine, spring and fall are special times, and optimum for cleansing.
I am pleased to announce that I, as well as your friends at Planet Massage, will be heading up a 7 day group cleanse starting Monday October 13, with a “pre cleanse” beginning Friday October 10th. Whether you are an old pro at juicing, fasting, cleansing or detoxing, or a newbie, it’s great to do it as part of a group and have support. I can tell you from experience, that as you enter 4-5 days without solid food, no one quite understands, and can offer support like someone else who is going through it, and has been through it many times before. Through trial and error, and help from countless friends, family, experts and medical professionals, we have learned certain tweaks and tricks to get the most of your cleanse. Having the right support and mindset is paramount and the difference between success and giving up ½ way through as hunger pains win over your will to succeed and be healthy *

Dr. Mayo would probably be appalled if he was alive to see the state of “health care” today. He lived in a time or real foods, before processed foods, many of our environmental toxins and the age of wonder drug prescription “cures”. What can I expect on a cleanse? Honestly, a lot of ups and downs. There are a lot of “good” days…and a lot of “bad” days. They each have their purpose. I can virtually guarantee at the end of it all you will feel much, much better and will probably have lost 10 pounds or more. You will have the satisfaction of knowing that much of this weight lost will have been in the form of toxic waste, chemicals, drugs, heavy metals, parasites, bacteria and viruses which you have likely been accumulating for a very long time. The primary part of the cleanse will be Sonnie’s 7 day cleanse ( Son-nay meaning sun).

The Planet Massage 7 day group program includes:
• One Sonne’s 7 day cleanse kit. All the basics to cover the bulk of the cleanse and provide nutrition and support during the process. The only “extras” you need are one gallon of pure water each day.
• Group support: We will meet at least 4 times before, during and after the cleanse in person at Planet Massage. Know that you are not going at it alone! With the contact information of other group members, you have friends to reach out to for support, as well as guidance from your experienced group leaders.
• Unlimited email support & phone support: Contact Mark via email or give us a ring with any questions or just to talk it out. • Tips and tricks: Help with healing crises and more. A healing crisis is a state of feeling worse before feeling better. It is not uncommon for individuals to suffer from detoxification reactions when they begin a program of natural healing. This is classically referred to as a healing crisis and occurs when the body is expelling toxins into the different systems of the body. The healing crisis is a normal process that toxic individuals will often encounter on their path to getting well. This occurs when the cells release toxins into circulation but the elimination organs (skin, lungs, liver, kidneys, bladder & GI tract) are not able to eliminate them quickly enough. The toxins remain in circulation and can affect the brain stem region leading to nausea, poor coordination, headaches, fatigue, malaise, fever, etc. Another common cause of the healing crisis has to do with the dying off of certain pathogenic organisms in the body. These organisms can be Candida yeast infections, viruses and bacteria. Any sort of natural health program can cause a massive die-off of these organisms.*
• Pre cleanse: For those wanting to go the extra step, we will ramp up to the cleanse with a few days of healthy eating, juicing and/or the Master Cleanse. I’ll even help you source the needed ingredients for the pre cleanse or purchase in bulk if we have enough interest.
• Pre cleanse caffeine elimination countdown: If you regularly drink coffee or even worse, soft drinks containing caffeine, you will probably want to wean yourself off of it PRIOR to your cleanse. You’ll likely have days where you feel hungry and crappy enough, without a pounding headache to make it worse. After over 15 years of jumping on and off the caffeine wagon, following the advise of my acupuncture physicians, I’ve have found what I consider the least painful approach to minimizing the withdrawal symptoms. We will be starting a week prior to the cleanse.*
• Discount Massage and AIS stretching: Massage can help to expel the toxins from your tissues, and help sooth your body and mind during the process. Light exercise including AIS stretching can help oxygenate the body, assist the process and increase the benefits of a cleanse. • Colonics and/or enema support: While it is certainly not everyone’s cup of tea, Sonne’s highly recommends 6-14 enemas or colonics during the cleanse week. We do NOT offer these services at Planet Massage, however, we can offer coaching with over a decade of experience with enemas, colonics and coffee enemas. I can point you in the right direction to a good colonics specialist we have used in the past. I’ll be reaching out to her to see if we can get a group rate if there is enough interest. Otherwise, I can offer support based on personal experiences, and/or help sourcing supplies for coffee enemas. These procedures will greatly assist in your bodies ability to remove toxins and a expedited manor, which may greatly improve your outcome and will likely ease the pains of any “Healing crises”. *
• Post Cleanse Support: After not eating for a week, one might be tempted to start off eating with a huge steak or a pizza and a stiff drink. Not such a good idea. A far better idea is to use the cleanse as a springboard to transition into a healthy diet full of raw foods and nutrition while eliminating foods that have been a problem for you and have contributed to “Dis-Ease”. We will meet once in person after the cleanse, and I will offer email and phone support as I can.*

You will be responsible for any foods during the pre and post cleanse process and/or Master cleanse ingredients.
